Citegrove · Reddit-first AI citation outreach

AI Citation Tracker

Type your domain and a buyer-intent prompt your future customer might ask. We send the prompt through ChatGPT (search), Perplexity (sonar), and Gemini (search-grounded) in parallel and report which of them actually cite your domain — and which URL they cite. No login, no spam.

FAQ

Frequently asked

How does this differ from a regular Google search?

Google ranks pages on a results list. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini synthesize an answer and pick a small handful of pages to cite inside it. Being on Google's page 1 doesn't mean you're cited in the AI answer — they're different bets.

Why three LLMs?

They each use different retrieval stacks: ChatGPT uses Bing-grounded search, Perplexity uses its own index plus the open web, and Gemini uses Google search. A page can be cited by one and missed by the other two — running all three side-by-side shows you the full picture.

What's a good prompt to test?

A buyer-intent prompt — what your future customer would actually type. "Best CRM for small startup", "Cheapest API monitoring tool 2025", "Open source alternative to Notion". Generic queries are noisy; specific buyer prompts are where citations matter.

My domain wasn't cited. Is the tool broken?

No — that's the most useful answer. It tells you exactly which LLMs are missing you for that prompt, so you know where to focus. Run the same prompt monthly to track whether your work is moving the needle.

Why is this rate-limited harder than other tools?

Each request makes three live LLM calls (one per provider) which is genuinely expensive. We cap at 5 lookups per IP per 24 hours. If you need more, the full Citegrove product runs this on a schedule across hundreds of prompts.

Do you store my prompts or domain?

We log a hashed IP for rate limiting. Prompts and domains aren't persisted server-side beyond the request that handles them.
